Kaylie Jones, writer of five prior works, is a daughter of James Jones a National Book Award winning writer of four WWII novels. Her brand new book, "Lies My Mother Never Told Me" is about her life with her parents in 1960s Paris as well as beyond. Drinking was a large part of a social life of a Jones'. Parties included such friends during William Styron, Irwin Shaw, James Baldwin, Norman Mailer as well as Truman Capote. But alcohlism was denied. Kaylie tells a delayed disintegration of her mother due to alcohol as well as her own conflict with drink.
