FiveThirtyEight: Politics Done Right: NY-23 Results by County ...

As of about 11:35 12:05 New York time. Source.

Note that a major superb stash of votes is in St. Lawrence County, where Owens has finished really well all evening. There are additionally a goodly commission of a vote left in Lewis County, where Hoffman leads 52-43, though there only aren't that most voters there.

Most of a 5,800 or so absentee ballots via a district additionally haven't been counted; we do not know who that favors. But it looks to me like Hoffman is starting to tumble further behind when a rest of St. Lawrence comes in (which might not be until tomorrow; they've had a little appurtenance problems there) and a absentees -- of that Scozzafava will have a decent share -- won't be sufficient to help him.

With mucho caveats, as always. I'm only one man here trying to cover 7 elections at once and call 'em as we see 'em in genuine time.

EDIT: For instance, Watertown is not in St. Lawrence County, as we formerly reported. Hence, a caveatting.

UPDATE: Fox News has called it for Owens.

UPDATE: There's been a little confusion about a number of absentee ballots in a district. 10,000 were sent out, though 5,800 were returned.
